SEBERANG JAYA, MALAYSIA – About 3,000 people visited the Food and Fun Fair For Charity 2008 organised by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) at its Bhaktivedanta Cultural Centre in Seberang Jaya recently.

The event was held to raise funds to build the Sri Radha Krishna Temple in Seberang Jaya and also for its food relief programme.

Centre president Kalesha Das said they collected RM50,000 from the event.

More than 30 stalls were set up at the food fair selling vegetarian food while children took part in various games.

Kalesha said the RM7mil temple was expected to be ready in five years. He said Iskon was also planning to build a RM3mil multi-purpose hall.
