KLANG, MALAYSIA – The deities in Iskcon Klang were all dressed in flower dresses made by the devotees here. The main altar as well as Srila Prabhupada’s vyasasan was decorated in the Vrindavan mood complete with a myriad of greenaries, creepers, flowers and birds and animals. Sri Sri Radha Govinda, Sri Sri Krishna Balaram, Sri Giriraj. Sri Sri Gaura Nitai, Sri Sri Ram, Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman, looked gorgeous and resplendent in their new outfits. Srila Prabhupada was given a lovely garland of red and pink roses with baby’s-breath flowers. Not to be left out, the Guru Parampada deities were also adorned with garlands of jasmine and pink roses.
A beautiful mini Govardhan mountain depicting the various place there like Radha and Syama Kund, Punchari, Dan Ghata, Harideva temple, Govind Kund, Manadi Ganga, Uddava Kund, Kesi Ghata, Rasa Stali were created by the devotees in Iskcon Klang. They were made of leaves, flowers, fruits, basmati rice, halva, pulut rice cakes, sponge cakes, sweet rice, candies, puris, capatis, dhall, sabjis, pakoras and other snacks and savories. Tiny little animals and birds added the final touch to this mountain. And Little Damodara was there with Mother Yasodha as well as the most adorable Krishna Balaram. Not forgeting Sri Govardhan and Little Giriraj. There are also two tiny Girirajs on the mountain if you look carefully. They had come along to Klang somehow. Besides that, you will also find Little Krishna on the bridge waiting for Srimati Radharani to collect toll at Dan Ghata. At another section of the mountain, you will find a temple of Sri Sri Radha Krishna.
HG Udoy looked intensily at the deities and said “Wow, I feel electric pulses going through me just watching Them”.
As I was making the garlands for the Guru Parampara and Srila Prabhupada, I wished I had enough flowers for our very own deities, Sri Sri Nitai Gaura Sundar. And amazingly, there was just enough jasmine and pink roses to be made into garlands for them as well. They looked splendid as well.
